Story
Motor Neurone Disease (MND) has affected our lives greatly. Having lost Grandpa Ted and Cousin Jennie to this awful disease, Mum (Julie) and Dad set up the Milton Keynes branch of the MND Association over 26 years ago. The local charity prides itself on supporting people living with MND now, providing people with specialist equipment, care and adaptations to their homes to make their lives more comfortable. Please note that this disease is severely life shortening. Life expectancy for about half of those with the condition is 3 years from the start of symptoms.
Throughout our lives we have met and supported many incredible people and families and it is in our blood to continue this fight to find a cure!
What amazes us the most about people living with MND is their positive attitudes and sense of humours. In the face of absolute horror, they find ways to live happily and it is incredibly inspiring!
Possibly the cruelest disease in the world; please help us to support people affected.
We will be cycling the Cobbler Classic in Northampton on the 17th June and London to Brighton on the 17th September.
Thank you,
Helena and Julie
