Story
Helensburgh Festive Lighting Charitable Trust are volunteers who have spent over 800 man hours lighting up the town for last Saturday's light switch on in preparation for the winter festival this Saturday. It was a magical night that brought out the whole community.
The Christmas Tree in Colquhoun Square last night(Wednesday the 28th of November) suffered severe damage from the storm winds. This has resulted in the tree being broken, about 6 ft from the top, the star has been trashed, and the string lights have been damaged.
Bottom line is that We NEED YOUR help,
We desperately need funds to replace and repair the tree, a cherry picker and volunteers.
I am reaching out to the good people. We urgently need 3/4 volunteers to help take down the lights ( we have professional people to make them safe), reel them in repair the Tree & re-string the lights back onto the tree, all to be done in time for the winter Market.
Please help if you can. Many thanks in anticipation.
Nicky Watt, Trustee of HFCC Trust.

6 years agoI would like to say a massive thank you to everyone that has donated today, the support has been fantastic. Between our crowdfunding page and donations in person we have reached our target. I have emailed the Just Giving team and asked that the page be closed down. We are a charity, everyone on our team is a volunteers and we cannot do this without the support of our community. Thank you once again for all your support. Have a Merry Christmas when it comes. Nicky
