In the last 5 years, as many of you know, I've been putting a lot of effort, hard work, sacrifice and much love and dedication in building a sustainable house in the mountains in Serra do Açor, Portugal.

The Love for Nature, the Silence, the breathtaking landscapes, my boy's happiness and laughter that echoes all through the mountain and the Simple Life are some of the reasons that make me sure that there's no other place I rather call home!

And we were almost there... moving in this winter, we were so excited to finally have a place to call our home after all these years... until the catastrophic fires of 15th October 2017 happened.

Our home and many other houses of families that we know and love burned to the ground in our valley..nothing left.. our beloved mountains and forests burned...

Its been a strong deep process of acknowledging the change and dealing with the lost of 5 years of hard work and commitment. But im not leaving.. im determined to stay and rebuild the house, replant the forest and care for the environment that we already feel like home!
