One of our school friends, Jack Hussey, has been suffering with soft tissue sarcoma - a rare form of cancer - for the past year or so.

After initial mis-diagnosis, Jack was confirmed as having a Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare cancer, but unfortunately common among teenagers. Initial treatments seemed successful but unfortunatley after the treatment finished the sarcomas returned and now he has been told that his cancer is not curable.

Jack has been through several intense cycles of chemotherapy and throughout the process he has kept his head help high and has been very positive.

He is now dedicating himself to help towards research into the cancer that has affected him and is involved with a research project that will help further understanding into this condition and will hopefully help to find a treatment. However, the research needs more funding and this is where we hope to help!



In August 2016, myself and a group of friends will be attempting the National 3 Peaks Challenge. This involves climbing Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in the Lake District, and Snowdon in Wales, all within 24 hours. This will be a gruelling task both physically and mentally and will be a battle against the natural environment and the weather. The 24 hours will include approximately 13 hours of climbing and 11 hours of driving.

We are doing the challenge self sponsored, so 100% of the money you donate on here will go to Jack to aid his research. 

Every little donation will be going towards a great cause, so even if its just a few pound, it all adds up!

EDIT: Unfortunately on 11/07/2016 Jack passed away so we are now doing this in his memory. We will be doing the challenge on the 30th and 31st August. If anyone would like to join us to climb any particular sections please email: hc43@hotmail.co.uk
