Weʼre raising £125,000 to help my nephew, Jason Lee, get the heart operation he needs to live a happy and healthy life.

What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

Story

Jason (2yo) was born with a congenital heart defect called tetralogy of Fallot, which is four related heart defects that change the way blood flows to the lungs and through the heart.

Despite being the most lovely and happy boy, Jason faces an uncertain future if we are unable to find the money we desperately need to make sure that he can undergo his treatment and have a happy and healthy life ahead of him.

Because of his heart condition, Jason is becoming increasingly blue over time and has difficulty participating in physical activities, the basic sort of rough and tumble and playing about that you associate with most toddlers. Most babies who have surgery to correct the defect do very well and go on to lead a healthy life even though more time and money will be required to monitor his condition.

Because Jason lives in Kuala Lumpur, where there is no free health service, the only way we can afford to get Jason his healthy heart is to raise £125,000 and take him to a specialist hospital. We have searched high and low for the best specialist care and we would like to take him to a specialist hospital in Taiwan.

Despite the location, most hospitals in Malaysia and South East Asia require similar amounts of funding to perform this type of heart surgery, all we are trying to do is to make sure we are happy and comfortable with the expertise and care provided.

Please help us to raise the money for Jason so that we can give him the future he really deserves.

Thank you for all your help and support.

Jason and family.

Jason Lee is my nephew, my only younger brother son. I love and care for him as my own child. Without the generosity from the general public & friends we are unable to raise such a huge amount of money for his 4 operations in National Taiwan University Hospital .
