UPDATE 11/07/2020

Dear donors we've been busy organising the opening of the grocery store the last month and with your help, the shop is now open and running!

I'm posting pictures of the shop and goods that Rey and his family are selling, first weeks are a bit difficult but business is getting better and better for them and they had the support of the village officials, which is a big help.

You all made a difference for the people there, and they don't have words to express how much they thank all of you, they still need our support to make sure the business is long term viable so I keep this fundraising open.

The Covid19 situation in the Philippines is dramatic with a severe lockdown and of course a complete tourism stop, this is by far the biggest source of income there.

The project here is for him to start a little grocery store, which would help him, his family and basically the whole village as they all have to walk for hours to reach the first shop.

Here is the breakdown of what they need (prices in pesos):

Rey, Eileen (Rey's wife) and myself have been working together the last couple of weeks to make this fundraising project coherent and are willing to be transparent with the people who want to help.
