If you know Sarah you can probably skip this intro...if you don't know Sarah, then you’re missing out! Her approach to life's knock-backs is amazing - and she's had more than her fair share. The MS diagnosis couldn't hold her back. Getting cancer in 2017 was tough - but even this didn't knock her off her feet. She fought it, went through two major ops without a fuss, and came back as fabulous as ever. She’s a fighter, a great friend, and an even better mum.

Things just got extra tough for Sarah, and she's about to start her biggest fight yet. The bowel cancer that was removed last year has spread to her liver. For reasons currently under investigation, the hospital chose not to act when the lesions were first spotted, and as a result the cancer is now inoperable. Chemo isn’t straightforward for Sarah, as the standard drugs can trigger her MS and cause a relapse: something that would make her tough situation considerably worse. We’re appealing to the NHS to provide a non-standard treatment that will hopefully shrink the tumors enough to make them operable, and we're hopeful they'll acknowledge that they need to provide it. If they won't, then she needs our help big-time to fund it.

But even if they do grant her this treatment, she still needs us. She needs further tests (not available on the NHS) so her on-going treatment can be specifically targeted. Plus, her existing conditions require all kinds of complementary therapies to ensure she’s strong enough to get through the chemo.
