Stephen attended urgent care at Shotley Bridge Hospital Friday 10th August with severe head pain and impaired vision. Following some test and after seeing an optician he was referred to the RVI for further investigation. On Saturday 11th August the devastating news was delivered that he has a brain tumour which requires immediate attention. Stephen has been booked in for surgery on Thursday 16th August 2018. This means he can no longer be the singing taxi driver we've all known and loved for 26 years until he has recovered and at this point we are unsure how long that recovery will take.

As Stephen is self employed and the sole earner for his wife and children this will impact the family hard, any support that is given will help this fabulous family through Stephen's treatment and also the treatment of his newest son Benjamin who is also in hospital awaiting his second heart operation.
