I found out about Dawid's accident from the police who visited me at work. In the hospital, I saw him connected to live supportive equipment. I sat down beside his bed completely shocked.

The broken spine operation was performed next day. Dawid remained in critical condition for another 2 months. At that time, he did not give up, he struggled with cerebral edema and strived for his life experiencing severe pain due to numerous fractures. His situation complicated even more when pneumonia, high fever, kidney infection and vomiting occurred with severe head injury. He managed to live through by a miracle.

After waking up from a coma, it turned out, that Dawid lost his memory and had to learn the simplest activities ones again. Despite the difficulties he made through so far, Dawid is even more motivated to continue with his strive even further.

Bicycles are Dawid's passion. His dream is to ride a bicycle again, take part in cycling races and even open his own bicycle shop. Dawid was working as a mechanic at a bicycle shop before the accident occurred while he was riding his bicycle.

Dawid's another passion is music. He wants to play on Saxophone again.

However, before his dreams come true, Dawid must first learn to walk and regain his intellectual abilities from before the accident. His rehabilitation requires the use of gait adjustment machines, which will give him the chance to recreate and learn the correct posture and balance. The complete regeneration involves intensive physiotherapies, massages, neurologopedic and neuropsychological therapies. It all requires considerable financial expenses. We are no longer able to provide them on our own, therefore, we ask for financial support and dissemination of this campaign. Dawid has the soul of an athlete and does not agree with own limitations. He strives on daily basis and does not intend to stop, especially now, when positive results are already visible. We are confident that any support will bring him closer to a desired full recovery outcome.
