    Story

As some of you may have already heard, our beautiful friends Robyn & Elyse have been in an unfortunate and near fatal car accident whilst driving through the outback in Western Australia on the 30th September 2019. A severe fault with the car tyres led the vehicle to spin violently out of control and flip several times before veering off road and colliding with a tree. The crash resulted in Robyn sustaining a bleed on her brain and fractures to her spine and hands, whilst Elyse sustained over five fractures to both her spine and neck.

Due to the seriousness of their injuries they were then air evacuated to separate hospitals where their condition was critical yet stable. However due to a number mistakes made by medical professionals in Broome, Robyn was led to believe that her spine was fine and the injuries to her hands were not severe. It was only after 5 days that the doctors realised that her spine was indeed fractured and should have been placed in a back brace immediately following the accident. This lapse in care means that Robyn's injuries are going to take ten times longer to heal and she will have to undergo physio-therapy for the foreseeable future, this is going to cost thousands of dollars.

This accident has not only affected the girls physically but their mental-wellbeing too. The extent of their injuries means that they cannot work for the next 6 months and what savings they have left are being spent on hospital appointments and therapy. It had been the girls dream to start a new life in Australia, but this dream has been torn apart in a matter of weeks. This for them has been crippling and has left them feeling desperate, alone and helpless.

This is were we come in. I don't believe the girls should be made to suffer as a result of bad luck and I don't believe the dream that they have been working towards all these years should end in this way. The girls have been too proud to ask for help. But I believe we, their family and friends can make a difference and get the girls the physical, mental and legal support they need at this time. From £1 to £10 every little bit of support will help the girls get back on their feet and ensure that their dream is not over. I firmly believe as a community we can make this happen. Every little helps and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
