I would love to be able to raise enough money to be able to help buy a car to take my Gran out and about to visit the places she loves the most.
My Gran (Susannah) is 89 years young and was diagnosed with Alzheimer's a few years ago, she is currently taking tables for her condition but we don't know how long they will keep this horrible disease away for before she looses all her memories for good.
Going out with my gran involves using her wheelchair which she doesn't mind but won't go on public transport with it as she doesn't like crowded small places,the noise is also another issue.
Having a car would make life a lot easier for her as we could go out is all sorts of weather and virtually door to door to places that she once loved going to. Also giving her the freedom to come and go if the noise and people become to much for her to cope, as we could leave at any time.
I work like most people but sadly my wages are only enough to cover rent and bills, like most. I have very little left to save for a car and it would take many years before i could. One thing my Gran doesn't have is time. so i'm on here hoping that someone will find it in their heart to help and be part of helping a very special lady keep her memories alive for as long as we can. We were told off the doctors that being around familiar thing, people and places are what can help keep her here in mind for as long as we can, so please find it within yourself to be able to help do this.
