    Story

I am particularly asking friends who remember Svetlana Souzko from Elim Bible College days (1989-1992) and in Dewsbury Elim Church (1992 onwards) to help me raise money for her. Svetlana has left family behind and with her son is safe in Romania and I am in constant contact with her. We do not know exactly what is going to happen next. But they have personal needs and then there are needs back in Kyiv. As I write this the maternity hospital that is near her church has been bombed. Her brother in law and Pastor are helping as much as they can with the wounded and those in such desperate need. We have means to get money to Svetlana and to the border so that every penny will go to help our friend and her family and people.

Please do all you can to give into this fund. I wasnt show how much to put as a target figure because the need is so great. But also do please pray for Svetlana and Maxim and their family. Thank you

Hello everyone, after a 34 hour bus journey, Svetlana and Maxim have arrived in Germany! Here they are outside a church in Cologne under the Ukrainian flag. They are settling into the home of a church family on the outskirts of the city. Svetlana is overwhelmed and so thankful for your giving. In 4 days time Justgiving will release these funds and they will be transferred to Svetlana. She will report back to us on how the money was used. We are very near the £5,000 target, please share this post so we can get past it!

Svetlana and Maxim are currently in Bosanci, Romania. She is very thankful to all of you who have given so generously. On Monday they will travel to an Elim Pastor in Cologne as Germany are giving refugee status. Here she will work with his church in helping with the many refugees fleeing Ukraine especially at the border. The funds raised will be sent to her in Germany and Svetlana will be able to give an update in the days and weeks to come. Svetlana does not know how to thank you enough. Please share this post so we can achieve our target.
