Darul Hadis Latifiah Secondary School and College is a religious school in East London.

It aims to 'educate a future generation of scholars and academics'

Students at this school are prepared for the life outside, whether it is at a University (where students have gone as far as Cambridge University), or an apprenticeship (Like TFL and Deloitte).

I myself, am a student at this institution, and have been so for the past 8 years and from my experience I would say that:

*Many students are disadvantaged, due to the lack of finances. This involves new equipment that state schools receive, that we cannot use (as the school cannot afford it).

When I was in year 11, I struggled to prepare for my exams, primarily because of the lack of resources.

The school itself helped me in every way possible, providing text books and other resources for my exams, however they could not afford to provide more modern equipment.

Many state schools provide their students with a netbook and other electronic resources (like an e-reader) to help students write their notes and revise.

My classmates and I (and everyone before me) did not have this privilege.

That is why I urge and request those who are able, to help fund this school.

Whether it is a few pounds, pence etc., whatever it is.... it will come a long way in helping the school.

And I know many people reading this will say that 'this is not my school, or 'this school teaches a religious belief that I do not follow', and this might be true, but the reality is that all schools benefit the community.

As these students will work in your community, and they will do their upmost best to benefit the community.
