We are raising funds to help Sam and her two girls get back on their feet, after suffering from domestic violence and having to leave home for their safety. There are so many women in the same situation and we need to raise awareness for such a widespread, real issue so lets do what we do best and help Sam, her girls and all those other women who don't have a voice.

Sam's Story:

After more than 20 years of marriage comprising of domestic violence Sam finally took the brave steps to divorce her husband. It has been a difficult journey and it is far from over, Sam fled home with two of her children one of which is a  minor  to  ensure  her  own  and  her  children's  safety.  She  filed  for  divorce  and  to  her  horror  learned  her  husband  had  gone  to  extreme  attempts  to  dispose  of  their  martial  assets  in  a  bid  to  further  financially  abuse  her.  She  has  financially  struggled  and  despite  her  best  efforts  to  make  ends  meet  her  legal  fees  are  draining  her  resources  as  her  husband  fails  to  comply  with  court  orders knowing  this would lengthen  proceedings  and  drain  her  financially. 

We  are raising £10,000 and want to get as close to this figure as possible. This will help  get  her  to the  Final  Hearing,  assist  her to overcome  some  of  the  complications  her  husband  has  created  through  the  disposal  of  their  assets and to get her and her girls back on their feet.

The  amount  also  includes  the  fee  which  Just  Giving  will  deduct  and  we  want to  be  able  to  donate  any  remaining  funds  to  Solace  Women's  Aid  who  have  tried  to  help  Sam  the  best  they  can.  This  will  ensure  women  in  Sam's  position  can  also  get  a  helping  hand  instead  of  having  to  suffer  in  silence.  Every  pound  kindly  donated  will  help us to achieve our goal, help  Sam and her girls  get a step  closer  to  freedom  and  help  this  nightmare  divorce  come  to  an end.
