My mum lives in Latvia with my brother (41) with psychological health issues from the age of 24. Last 14 years she dedicated her life to him, hardly ever complaining. She has been the most loving, caring, selfless woman I know on this planet.

On 20/01/2018 my mum suffered severe heart attack causing cardiac arrest resulting in a coma and further complications. It turns out she was laying on the floor next to her bed all night because my brother didn't think to check up on her, not realising there was anything wrong. Late morning he put her in bed,still not aware how severe my mum's condition was. He called me, then called an ambulance.

Everyone told me she won't come out of coma.

Over the next 6 days I sat next to my mum talking and reading to her, gently massaging her and playing music for her.

On 27th January she came out of coma, not much contact yet. Doctors said, it won't get better. Next day she smiled, turned her head to me,then to my brother and to my uncle. Moved her hands&feet. She also nodded 'yes' and 'no' signs. It was a miracle!!!

Next day tracheostoma was fitted, thats when her condition worsened. Ever since, things have been deteriating, specifically regarding my mum's care when she was moved to Cardiology ward IC unit where care is inhumane by some medical staff.

Because they have written my mum off, leaving her to lay there with no attention or support, she now can't move or do anything at all, just ever so often smile to me or nod. Doctor said she's in semi vegetative state WHICH MEANS there is a chance for some recovery.

Today doctor told me to move my mum to another care unit. The only place in Riga 'ACilveks' where they can help with someone like my mum, costs up to €100 per day.

So my pledge to you is, please help me to give my mum a chance to recovery! She's always been strong for everyone else, now she needs that strength back! She is a Miracle Mum, the one and only!❣️💞❣️
