On Christmas Eve last year a friend was badly injured by her ex partner in a very bad domestic violence attack. The 32-year-old victim, a mum of two who lives in Welwyn Garden City, suffered a fractured skull, brain injury, bleeding on the brain, a fractured and dislocated shoulder, broken ribs down her left side, a punctured lung and a punctured valve in her heart. She spent 4 months in hospital in a brain injury unit and has sustained brain injuries.

We wanted to help the charity that supported her when she finally left hospital as their support was invaluable to her. She went from 24 hour care to no support after being discharged from hospital. So The Herts Womans Centre gave some of the care she so badly needed.

We are also organising a Christmas Gala Dinner 16th December 2016 to raise awareness and funds.
