After waking up one morning unable to move my legs i was blue lighted to hospital...after scans and another 5 emergency visits i was diagnosed with Functional neurological disorder (FND for short) where the signals don't get to a certain part of your body for a period of time. I lived in my living room for 8 months due no not being able to get upstairs. I now have a stair lift approved by the council. However i have a self propelled wheelchair to get me from A to B but me and my mum find it extremely difficult most of the time as mum is short, not a spring chicken and I'm not light as a feather. Having a powerchair would make life so much better and unfortunately they don't come cheap.
