Just to give you a little insight to our situation our Dad and Husband to our Mum (for nearly 50 years) Kenneth William Mutch was diagnosed in February 2015 with secondary cancer of the neck lymph nodes. The primary cause unknown! This initial diagnosis was delayed as his own GP dismissed the lump on three separate occasions and only referred him as a paranoid patient.
After exhausting all possible avenues the primary cause was still a mystery to all the medical professionals. Our Dad proceeded to have the mass of Lymph nodes removed in the hope the Cancer could be completely removed. This was followed up with thirty sessions of Radiotherapy and then the obligatory Chemotherapy. As any of you will know who’s been touched with Cancer and the procedures (Radio & Chemotherapy) that follow and the recovery needed is somewhat worse than the condition itself.
In March this year our Dad mentioned to the specialist about a Purple mark appearing on his cheek “nothing to worry about “was the response. It was also dismissed by his GP as nothing more than a shaving mark!
I have bad news the mark is Cancerous! We were quickly advised the primary cause was indeed cancer of the Parotid Gland (saliva) fifteen months after the initial diagnoses it’s one of the rarer types and as such its terminal and there’s nothing more they can do! Could be six months twelve or eighteen we don’t know.
Devastation is an understatement and for several weeks we clung to the hope that may be a slight chance of a clinical trial. Despite the diagnosis our Dads personal health and wellbeing has continued to improve but the options of medication/treatment have now come to an end as there are no clinical trials available.
Our family needs your help after exhausting many avenues we have found a clinic in Germany The Hallwang Oncology Clinic who treat and hopefully cure his condition. This clinic is offering the olive branch we just desperately need other people’s help to fund this, please help.
