I am running the Simply Health Great Manchester Run half marathon on Sunday 20th May 2018 on behalf of Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH) UK.

This is a charity close to my heart as my eldest son (pictured) was born with this condition - which affects 1 in 2,500 children - and had four major operations to repair the hole in his diaphragm by the age of three. He is now a happy, healthy eight year old child, and myself and his mother are very grateful for the help we received during the difficult time. I would now like to offer the same help to others by raising money which will go towards looking after families going through a similar experience.
