Weʼre raising £1,000 to help Hayward House in Nottingham continue to provide palliative care for terminal illness
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Hayward House is ran entirely on donations and fund raising from events like the one we are undertaking. I am walking a midnight marathon on Nov 9th 2018 with Ian O'Keefe. Ian is a former soldier who served 23 years in the British Army. He was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2008 and initially was given 18 to 24 months to live. Ian used Hayward House and its facilities in 2014. He is still alive and kicking now, unfortunately other people that went there with Ian are all gone now, bar one. Ian is passionate about raising money for this cause, so much so he has been on East Midlands Today (Saturday 13th October) and had a write up in the Nottingham Evening Post on Monday 15th October to raise the profile of this walk.
