In April 2016 Core Assets launched their 'Centre for Excellence in Alternative Care’ (CEAC) in New Delhi. The centre aims to work together with a wide range of agencies to build the capacity for family support in the community, kinship care and foster care development. CEAC are putting together a project plan and training pack to train governments and agencies to develop their own fostering services. In India a little goes a long way - £20 will fund fees for 4 foster carers for 1 week or pay for rent and electricity for a small community centre for 1 week or play for a social workers salary for one week.

Armed with not much more than a sleeping bag and a tent, on the 9th July I am going to make the 3,000 round trip from the Midlands to Italy on my motorbike, I will be riding through Spain, across France into Italy.
