Crowdfunding for someone living with cancer
Ways you can raise money to help pay for treatment, living costs, and making memories by crowdfunding.
The costs associated with a cancer diagnosis can be a significant hurdle for families at an already difficult time.
Many people have raised money through crowdfunding to get access to new and pioneering treatments that would otherwise be unavailable to them.
Crowdfunding is also a practical way for friends, family and the community to come together and help raise money not only to fund treatment costs but also for living expenses, travel and accommodation needs and to help make memories.
£4.5 million
raised for cancer treatment
In 2016 over £4.5 million was crowdfunded by the JustGiving community to pay for private or overseas cancer treatments, including proton-beam therapy, immunotherapy and stem-cell transplants.
£500,000
raised towards living costs
To date, over 3000 people have turned to JustGiving Crowdfunding, raising more than £500,000 specifically to help with day-to-day living costs.
