On the 1st April 2017 my Nan and beloved Mum and Sister, Jean Hoy, passed away. She's battled all her life and even in the last moments was adamant she wasn't going anywhere.

She fought with every breath she ever took, loved with every second she lived and laughed every chance she could. Even when she was unable to move she sang with us.

It's hard to try and write someone's legacy in a short space and make you understand and I can't because there is too much to know about who she was and the incredible life she led.

Unfortunately she suffered with numerous diseases and her only source of income was the benefits she received and she didn't set up any life insurance policies so we are now in a predicament where we, our family, are going to struggle to give her the send off she deserves.

Her daughters suffer with disabilities and have families they need to look after while going through something no-one can put into words.

My Nan furnished her house with items bought from The British Heart Foundation, YMCA and clothed herself with clothes from the same places. She gave so much towards helping charities I feel it's only right that she deserves the money we raise.

If 1,500 people donate £1 we'll have reached our goal and will be able to put the money towards making sure she's laid to rest in a fashion worthy of her life.
