In the summer of 2019, I will be travelling to Malawi with 20 girls from my school for 4 weeks. While we are there we will be helping to improve the quality of life for the those living there by aiding humanitarian and environmental protection projects that are set up by Camps International.

The greatest challenge facing Malawi is poverty. Most people don’t have access to clean water, proper sanitation, health care or adequate educational facilities. The community projects that we will take part in focus on improving the standard of living for the local people. We will build classrooms, school desks and install water facilities. In addition to the community projects, we will also make a difference through environmental and wildlife projects, which tackle deforestation and pollution.

50% of the overall cost goes directly to funding the projects that we will be aiding. It is this 50% that I intend to raise through sponsored activities, car washes, bake sales and more!
