    Story

Our beloved son Joseph tragically passed away on the 7th December 2017. Joe had been receiving treatment for cancer for several years. Prior to treatment, Joe had been diagnosed with Depression and Anxiety. He had kept this hidden from loved ones, friends and family for a long time and finally found the support he needed through counselling. Sutton Counselling provided Joe with help and guidance through very tough times and he found strength and encouragement in the face of adversity. There moto "Talking helps" proved to be very true for Joe.

Sutton Counselling is a registered charity but does not yet have a justgiving page. I am collecting donations in memory of Joe and will then post a grand total. Perhaps a little raised in his memory will help others to share the load and make a difference, something that I'm sure would please our son.

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks for the overwhelming support of family and friends at this sad time. Thanks to the generosity of those that donated through this page and offline we managed to raise a total of £3,000. Attached is a picture of the presentation of the funds to Sutton Counselling. Pictured with Joe's dad Jamie is Kirit (Joe's counsellor), and Alistair Park trustee for the charity. Alistair confirmed the money would go directly to the bursary fund to support those that are in need of counselling but on a low income.
