thank you!
The Council staff helped, the vet has agreed to help, and the Isle of Arran Branch of Cats Protection has agreed to help this tabby cat that was brought into the vet surgery today suffering from shock and dehydration. Initial assessment has been limited as the cat is clearly unwell. He is very thin and cannot yet stand. He is on a drip and pain relief and we wait to see his response overnight. If he manages to survive overnight further assessment will be made of his condition i.e as to what actually is wrong. Clearly it looks to be significant and a long recovery process. We are hoping he does belong to someone and they come forward. If not we will look for a new home. In the meantime , however, the branch needs YOUR help as we do not have sufficient funds. Can you help us once again? Even if its £1...with enough people donating we could achieve our goal. If the total reached is not needed we will of course use it for the next cat needing help from the Isle of Arran Cats Protection.
Please share with friends and ask them to help..we know times are hard which is why we are having to ask for help. Let's give this little mite a chance he obviously deserves it else he wouldn't be with us now! We will post more details as we find out..THANK YOU!

7 years agoI have written to all those who have donated to little Mr Tabby Man that given the cirumstances would they like us top erfund their donation. There are some who are anonymous and as a consequence I am asking you to let me know if you wish to have your donation refunded. We do still have the vet bill for him from the time he came into care and that is what we asked your donations to cover. We had expected a happier outcome If you wish us to do so please let us know within the next five days. thank you for supporting us and future cats.

7 years agoIt is with a very sad and heavy heart that I have to tell you that the wee Mr Tabby Man (aka Peter ) has lost his battle for a new life. He passed away just a few moments ago upon the Vet’s advice that he was failing. He had been on fluids since Friday morning and it was hoped to remove the drip Friday night but finding him still very dehydrated the Vets kept him on the drip. He was urinating copiously which signals the kidneys are not coping. After a lengthy discussion about what could or could not be done for him and what that would mean for

7 years agocontinued from below!! get him started on a new life in a new loving home soon!! He is still somewhat feisty and that may be due to his nature, his lack of contact with people or past incident. We do not know if he will tolerate children or dogs. But now that you know his health can you offer him a suitable home??
