Story
My name is Andrea, and I am part of the Global Justice Now-Bristol group, which is made up of marvellous people, passionate for justice, who channel their frustration and discouragement at the state of the world into positive action.
We organise educational workshops, community events to raise awareness and seminars with inspiring international activists. We also campaign for justice and democracy by lobbying our MPs and MEPs.
But we need funds to be able to continue doing this vital work. So I have decided to take part in the “Isle of Wight Challenge”, an epic non-stop walk around the whole coastline of the island:
https://www.isleofwightchallenge.com/the-challenge
My personal goal is to complete the challenge in 24 hours (from Saturday 5 May 8:00am to Sunday 6 8:00am). Will you help me to find energies and motivations to get to the finish line after hours of walking?
Thank you for any donation.
Global Justice Now is a democratic social justice organisation working to challenge the powerful and create a more just and equal world. Our aim is to mobilise people in the UK eager to join our campaigns and to act in solidarity with those fighting injustice, particularly in the global south.
These are some of the campagins GJN is working on at the moment.

6 years ago-17 (!!) days to the Isle of Wight adventure. Week day though, so no long hike unfortunately. But a good 5 hours walk after work around Leigh Woods, along the Avon, and back in Bristol via Spike Island. I've still in the ears the peace of the wood, and in the eye the sunset over the Channel.. short, magic times! 28 kilometers, it's ok for a wednesday evening ain't it?

6 years ago-5 weeks to the Challange. Today preparatory walk, zigzagging in North Somerset for about 53 km (half Challange): Redland, Whitchurch, North Wick, Dundry, Maes Knoll, Stanton Drew, Pensford (and return...). A bit of wind and rain, loads of mud, moderately hilly. A good day out for training..
