2014 my mum (Helga) started to get a stabbing pain in her breast and told me , so she booked a doctors appoiment for monday , off she went after keep getting this sharp pain and one breast became bigger than the other , the doctor new doctor checked her over , and decided to send her for a scan to be safe , so mum had the scans done and biopsie, and waited to hear back , 3 weeks later she had a letter , to say can you come in for your results with the day and time, but then she had a phone call to say can you come in earlier than time asked , so off mum went with my dad to Bumff hospital , mum was worried scared but sure it was nothing to worry about , she was sat in the waiting room , seen a board with all nurses names and colour uniform which then mum knew something wasent right , she got called in to a room , to be told she had stage 3 assgrasive breast cancer It had started to spread under her arm , told she would need 18 weeks of chemo and raido , and would lose all her hair , need her breast removed , they told her they wished they had caught it sooner , this is when my mums life changed forever , she wanted to get out the room and shake herself and wake up from this night mare , myself jade her daughter age 26 , was waiting for the call from mum to see how she had got on , I texted her for mum then to ring me , my heart was beating so fast , my mum was crying she said babe ive got cancer , I fell to the floor I was broken my best friend my sole mate I was screaming , I wanted to see her so I drove to my mummy to squeeze her so tight , and not let go , I went to every chemo with her ,by her side the whole way with my dad , whilst bringing up a 2 year old and pregnant , my mum was tested to see if she carries the bracker 1 gene , xmas eve she got the call she does , she has passed it on to me I have it to , my mum has had both breasts off histerectrmy and reconstruction on one , 10th of nov the other reconstruction, I'm waiting for surgery,
