Instead of people sending flowers for Jacks funeral, the family have requested people make a donation of money which they want to donate to the staff of the care home where Jack lived for the last 7 years whilst he battled his dementia. The staff at the home are the heros who dont get enough recognition for the amazing work and care they show their residents. All staff at the home have shown the upmost respect for Jack and always kept his dignity at the forefront of their priorities. Not only have they cared for Jack and his illness for the past 7 years but have also been a huge support to his family at what can be such a terrible and devastating period of a Dementia patients life. Charities such as The Altzeimers Society raise lots of money every year of which we can all support in future years but at this present time the family want to show their appreciation for the specific staff who took such great care of Jack- and they know he would want the same.
