Story
To commemorate the centenary of the end of WW1, some friends of the Farnborough Legion Branch (alongside their other ongoing fundraising events) also wish to raise funds to install a commemorative window at North Camp Methodist Church. Today, North Camp Methodist Church is the spiritual home to this branch of the Legion as well as being the spiritual home for the many soldiers and their families who have been stationed in Aldershot Garrison over the years.
The Aldershot Methodist Military Trust have already generously pledged the cost of installation, so we just need to source the remaining money (£4,600) to supply the window.
We have an excellent partner who is going to make the window for us and we are now actively seeking both corporate and personal sponsorship to help with these costs.
We plan to have this window created and installed before 11th November 2018 – the 100th anniversary of the end of the Great War.
We believe the design we have chosen to remember those who made the “ultimate sacrifice” is a fitting tribute both now and for future generations who will worship in this church. The window will keep the memory of the fallen alive.

This window is a wonderful way for the people of Rushmoor to pay tribute to those who gave their lives in WWI and to demonstrate their great pride in being the 'Home of the British Army'.
