Those that know me will be well aware of my love of animals. I have taken in many two, three and four legged creatures over the years. Three of the four dogs I have at present are all "rescues". As are the many rabbits and guinea pigs.
For the past few years I have been doing volunteer work in Thailand, working mainly with dogs. The plight of the hundreds of homeless street and beach dogs needs to be seen to believe..... not a pretty sight. The aim is to capture and neuter, feed and medicate as many dogs as possible (money permitting). The lucky ones remain, the unlucky may well end up crammed on top of one another in lorries heading off to the most horrific fate you can imagine.

I'm planning a bike ride between Maidstone and Ashford, along the Pilgrims Way. A distance of approximately 40 miles. This is to raise money for Headrock Dog Rescue who have around 50 dogs they care for at the centre. They also have around 80 homeless dogs that they care for at one of the local temples. These too get vaccinated each month. A truly mammoth task on very meagre funds. A little money goes a very long way in Thailand!
