Weʼre raising £13,000 to fund 26 new cots for Watford General Hospital's appeal: 'Watford cots for the next Generation'.

What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

Story

I have worked at Watford General Hospital in maternity for over 20 years and have had the pleasure to support generations of new parents. But the cots we have for our newborns are past their best. Some of them even pre-date me! Cot designs have changed over the years and it is now possible to buy adjustable height ones so new mums who are recovering from giving birth can reach over and cuddle their babies more easily.

I think this is so important in their early hours together, so they can build their life-long bonds. I'm a mum myself and know how precious those first few hours and days together are. I would love these cots for our new babies, so I have set up the 'Watford cots for the next generation' appeal to raise £13,000 for 26 new cots.

Please help us to achieve this goal for our new mums and babies by supporting the 'Watford Cots' appeal via West Hertfordshire Hospitals Charity (registered charity no 1052210)? Thank you so much.

Thank you very much for your generosity. We’ve hit our first target – enough money to buy cots for Bay One on Katherine Ward – that’s four cots! Thanks to the generosity of everyone – members of the public and companies. We are now ready for Phase 2 – fundraising for eight cots for Bay Two and Bay Three.
