Story
As a way o f raising money to help Emily's fundraising for her upcoming trip to Uganda I am participating in a half marathon. This is a tough challenge and any support would be greatly appreciated. You can read about the Uganda project below.
Over the past 10 years students of Chellaston Academy have been going to Uganda in order to improve the lives of many people who live there. They have done this by building two orphanages, one of which is now self sustainable. However, there is still work to be done. In the summer of 2017, Emily along with 25 other students will be building a huge extension onto one of the orphanages- The Mydel McQuilton Academy. This extension will allow the orphanage to house many more children who are living in the slums and also help to educate many, as there is a school attached. Also, it will provide a counselling area which will allow children who have been abused or troubled throughout their lives to be able to express their feelings within a safe environment.
In order to participate in this amazing experience Emily has to raise the money herself (£2400) therefore any donations would mean a lot and every little helps.
Thank you:)
