For those of you that know myself and family you will understand that this request doesn't come easily. We have just encountered the most dreadfully frightening news, that my dad, Simon has stage 4, terminal cancer. This has come as a blow to the heart and to say we don't know which way is up, is an understatement. We are trying to keep faith and hope alive whilst addressing the practical aspects. This is where, uncomfortably, I'm asking any of you who may be able to spare any, albeit a small, amount of money, to help towards the travel costs that will be incurred. He doesn't receive sick pay and will need to travel to a London hospital numerous times over the forthcoming weeks, this will break him financially. He's not aware I'm asking and is far too proud a man to ask himself but I have to try and do something. He's a fighter and I want his energies to be used to fight not worry about costs.

Any donations would be greatly appreciated, were hoping to get away to a family holiday over new year thanks to a friend giving us her holiday home. So anything extra raised we would use to give dad the best time!
