Story

So. On Friday 13th Dec 2013 I had a motorbike accident. I ended up with 7 metal pins & plate in my leg.
During my hospital stay doctors found a mass on my lung, which turned out to be late stage malignant metastatic melanoma. ..Cancer.

At the time of the accident myself and my wife both worked 2 jobs. Afterward I lost my 2nd job and my wife (who I forgot to mention was 8.5 months pregnant) lost her 2nd job and soon went down to basic maternity pay for The other.
Our son was born in late Jan & I went back to hospital in late March for an operation to remove the mass & a large portion of my lung with it. The surgeon was amazing and I came home to recover.

With income cut massively, me off recovering from major surgery and a new born baby, costs built up & we struggled through with help from family

I returned to work, and life started to get back to normal, (I even won awards at the company awards night) then last Xmas I found a lump in my side around the operational scars. ......It was back!
I have undergone regular treatment with immunotherapy (a type of chemo) since & had an intensive bout of radiotherapy, which shrunk the lump slightly and hopefully boosted my own body to be able to fight things Better.

I am constantly tired and in varying amounts of pain, unable to do a lot of things I would like to as a result, & mentally and physically drained from it all.
I had a consultation today for surgery, and found out that recovery time will be a month to 6weeks and I will also lose sections from two of my ribs.

We fall through the cracks where government help is concerned, and work will not pay me any more sick pay until March. My wife is also losing money this month and next due to an unpaid closure of 1 of her jobs.

I have an amazing family & I'm not to proud to admit I need help to pay my bills over the next few months & give my kids a basic Xmas

My family deserve much more than I can give right now.

Please help

Thank you

I have been told to take some time away from work to concentrate on my general health as I have had continuous chest infections colds etc, and my stress levels need to come down as well. So I will still be taking some time off thanks to your wonderful donations to do this. We may still need it after the results in mid jan. Thank you all for your support. I really can never say it enough.

So, I had a check up today, and there's some good news and some bad. I had the results of the PET CT Scan and it looks like there is no longer any activity in the Tumour on the side of my chest wall, so they have advised waiting until a confirmation scan in mid January to decide if there is any need for surgery there. However, they have found a lump that is VERY active smack bang in the middle of my chest, which they have said they will need to see the results of the mid Jan scan to be able to advise me on. Continued above.....
