Weʼre raising £5,000 to fund sports equipment required for training & development for wheelchair tennis and wheelchair fencing
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
James Middlehurst is a 9 year old amputee.
Inspired by London 2012 Paralympics, James has set his aims and ambitions to become a Paralympian of the future.
Already enthused with a passion for sport, James is a member of the Chelsea FC Pan Disability U12's football squad and a member of the England Amputee Junior Football squad.
Training & development for wheelchair events however do require specialist equipment and in order to train and to eventually compete at national and international junior events requires additional funding and/or ideally corporate sponsorship.
James is currently in training for Wheelchair Tennis and Wheelchair Fencing both of which require specialist equipment and we are looking for corporate sponsors or individual donations to help James reach his goals and achieve his fullest potential.
James has recently won a Silver and two Bronze medals at the British National Junior Wheelchair Fencing Championships and he hopes to build and develop on this achievement.
We are looking to raise £5,000 in order to purchase the following equipment for training and competition over the next 3 years
Wheelchair Tennis: £2,500
1) Sports wheelchair
2) Events Sponsorship
Wheelchair Fencing: £2,500
1) Fencing wheelchair
2) Protective clothing
3) Body wire
4) Weapons for Sabre, Epee and Foil
5) Events sponsorship
Should you wish to donate towards a particular sport, please indicate WT or WF on your donation.
