Story
Hello, my name is James Webb and I am a local man from Newmills who suffers from epilepsy. I have suffered from epilepsy since I was a young teenager but my seizures have occurred more frequently over the last few years. Last year, I suffered badly with my epilepsy and I was in and out of hospital a lot even with my new emergency medication. During this time, it was very stressful for both Sharon (my wife) and Donna (my daughter) as they were trying to carry on with their day to day life and look after me with my epilepsy aswell. As a result, this year we are fundraising to purchase a Smart Watch PT from Epilepsy Solutions. This watch will make a big difference to our family's life as Sharon and Donna will be able to carry on with their normal daily lives but also be able to meet the needs of my epilepsy. This watch has many features including instant alerts of a seizure, it is able to track my location when I take a seizure, detects abnormal motion and records seizure information which can be useful to my doctors and consultants. It may not seem a lot but it will make a huge difference to our family. I would be grateful if you would by donating a small amount towards this much needed equipment. After we purchase the watch and the yearly subscription, the remaining proceeds will be donated to Epilepsy Action.
