Story
On the 4th of March I will be taking part in the Bath Half Marathon with the aim of raising money for the future of Lisa's girls.
Lisa Wells was diagnosed with terminal cancer recently and has been advised that she has between 2 months and a year to live...which is truly heartbreaking. Lisa is only 31 years old and was diagnosed when her youngest daugter was just 2 weeks old, her little girls are now only 5 years old and 12 weeks.
I know Lisa personally after working with her at Helphire and Bev (my partner) is good friends with Lisa. We were both shocked and saddened to hear the devastating news but are truly inspired by how positive and motivated Lisa has been.
All donations I receive for taking part in the Bath Half Marathon will go towards the future of Lisa's girls.
Lisa is also personally fundraising for the future of her daughters, if you would like to contribute directly I will ensure that the link to Lisa's fundraising event is included in all social media posts relating to my run.
This is a genuinely worthy cause that is close to my heart. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any donation you may choose to pledge.

6 years agoToday I heard the devastating news that the Bath Half Marathon had been cancelled due to the recent weather conditions. I am pleased to announce that I have signed up for the Bristol Half marathon. This won't be until the end of September but allows me to set myself a bigger goal of a sub 2 hour time on my first ever half marathon. The cause is still the same and is still as important as ever, following Lisa's most recent operation I feel even more determined to raise as much as I can for Lisa to leave to her daughters.
