    Story

Jamie is 33 years old, has 4 beautiful children ages 2-13 and has recently married his amazing wife Mia.

Jamie was diagnosed in 2016 with a rare form of cancer in his leg and unfortunately had to undergo amputation shortly after diagnosis. He's worked incredibly hard to overcome that disability and had been making great progress in walking independently. Shortly before his wedding he received the heartbreaking news that the cancer had spread into his lungs. Despite receiving treatment quickly this has not been effective. We have found that there is an experimental treatment available outside the UK, in Germany, but this is not funded through the NHS.

Jamie has remained positive throughout and has been an inspiration to his family and friends who love and support him. We are all hoping we can raise the funds needed for Jamie to be treated with this alternative therapy and would be forever grateful for any help in reaching this goal to have a hope of saving his life.

I just wanted to give a short update before the page closes. The treatment in Germany hasn't been possible so Jamie recently met with consultants at a private clinic in London. His medical records and samples are being analysed and we hope to hear soon what treatment they can offer. So many people are supporting him and the generosity in giving time, money and messages of support has been incredible. Thanks to everyone. If you want to keep updated on Jamie's fight, there'll still be lots posted on Facebook. Thank you and best wishes Gareth

Since my last update donations have continued to come in and we've reached the £3000 mark. Still a long way to go but every penny is a great help and we thank you all. Friends and family are organising lots of fantastic events to raise more and newspapers want to help by running the story. Please share with anyone you can. Jamie is being cared for at home this week and all efforts are now on getting enough money for a first round of treatment in Germany. This is very urgent and we hope we can set a date soon. We are so grateful to you all xx

Good Luck Jamie. This money was raised by having a blue day at school. Donations were made by pupils and staff.
