Myself and three of my fellow children's nursing students are travelling to Tanzania next September to do an elective placement at the local hospitals and clinics. We are also going to spend a week in a village environment where we will be doing health promotion, mass immunisations and helping to improve the lives of children with life threatening illnesses and conditions. This all needs to be funded by ourselves but we would also like to use any extra money to provide much needed medical supplies that we just take for granted for example disposable gloves and aprons. I will be doing fund raising and hopefully a charity event next year but any donations will be very gratefully received.
