Weʼve raised £135 to help cure the dry rot problem in St Leonard's church and redecorate afterwards. This is going to cost about £100k in total.

    Story

St Leonard's Church has served the community of Bilston with Weddings, Christenings and Funerals for many years. Many enjoy Christmas midnight Mass or the Carol Service. There are reminders of Bilston past around the church.

Now St Leonard's is in trouble. After spending the money we had in repairing the roof parapets which were letting in water, we now find we have Dry Rot, a serious fungal issue which has caused the demolition of some buildings. We need to treat this rapidly in order to save the building. In order to do this we need to raise some of our own funds. Please help us to make a start on this terrible problem.

Thank you to everyone who has already given. We have a long way to go and have made a bit of a slow start but hopefully we will raise a bit more to restore this lovely old church to it's former glory. Please share with all your friends and see if we can't gather a bit more interest. We will soon have the quotes in and have to make some decisions. Thanks again for all your support
