Many years ago the 'Warm Heart of Africa' stole my heart. I have been lucky enough to be visiting the beautiful country of Malawi for the past 10 years working on two different projects and helping improve eye care services across the country.

I have made many friends along the way and over the past few years have befriended some wonderful people who run orphan care programmes in the capital, Lilongwe. The children in these communities are in need of the most basic items. The money raised will help fund essential toiletry items, school equipment, and provide food. With a full stomach the children will be able to concentrate on their learning.

Hope to see you on 16th September to celebrate my 40th birthday with me.
