    Story

My 2 year old boy suffered chicken pox for the 2nd time and he was deteriorating. On the Saturday I took him to Weston who did bloods and chest X-ray, they then blue lighted is to Bristol. Bristol sent us home and told us there was nthing wrong with him. Sunday my son was getting worse called an ambulance and rushed us to musgrove park in Taunton, where we spent 5 hours in resus, we then got moved to the children's ward acorn ward. They looked at Dexters bloods and X-ray again showed he had sepsis, chicken pox pneumonia and lung infection Also his oxygen levels were dangerously low and some how Bristol completely missed it. I was told if I didn't bring him in when I did he wouldn't be here today. I can't thank the ward enough for the care we recieved. My son is now at home and slowly recovering. I'm trying to raise money to go towards the ward for new equipment they need.
