Weʼve raised £2,030 to remember Greg by creating an annual Priestnall Award.

Funded on Thursday, 20th September 2018

Don't have time to donate right now?

    Story

Greg Priestnall tragically died earlier this year. Greg was a very popular, successful member of our sixth form. He was preparing to take his A Level examinations in Biology, Chemistry and Drama. Greg was a model student with exemplary learning attitudes. We want to remember Greg by creating the Priestnall award, to be presented to a student who displays the same amazing learning attitudes that Greg did. We aim to raise enough to make this a long running tradition.

As the total is far exceeding our initial expectations, Mrs. Martin and Mr. Feldman (Greg's tutors) are meeting with Greg's parents to discuss other ideas as well, like a bench in the 6th form area, and a charity that they may like to support.

    To start the fundraising, I am running a 24 hour ultramarathon on 30th June/ 1st July. http://cannonballevents.co.uk/trailblaster/

I will be spurred on by your kind donations, knowing that we can create something that would remember Greg for many years to come.

Thanks in advance for any donation you can make. Please share.

Hi everyone... I managed to be still moving/ running at 10am on Sunday with your support! I came in 6th place male, with a total of 65 miles, nearly 4500 feet of climbing, and burned 9500 calories! It was definitely the hottest and toughest race I have ever done in 25 years of running! With your support, and the donations and good wishes, I kept going even though my brain tried to make me quit several times. For a full race report, here is something I wrote the day after the run. http://canalrunning.blogspot.com/ Thanks again, Jason x

Wow! The donations from Greg's friends, family and teachers has far exceeded our initial target. Mrs. Martin and Mr. Feldman (Greg's tutors) are going to meet with Greg's parents to discuss other ideas as well, like a bench in the 6th form area, and a charity that they may like to support.
