We, friends of Jeff Cushing, are launching this fundraiser to support Jeff and his family through this challenging time. Jeff is a much loved and well known local Chi Gung and Yoga teacher; famed for his humble and humourous approach to teaching Jeff has inspired thousands of people over 30 years since 1987. Jeff has a type of cancer known as myeloma which has its roots in the blood and marrow. He is on a course of chemotherapy and will likely need a stem cell transplant soon. He has 4 brothers that will probably make good donors. Jeff has this rare type of leukaemia called Plasma Cell Leukaemia.

Both Jeff and his wife Heather are self employed and just as Jeff has obviously had to stop work so Heather has had to really step back from her work to care for Jeff. We have come to the £10,000 total by considering 6 months living expenses plus extra costs that Jeff's condition requires: for example, they have had to buy a new hep filter vacuum cleaner and they will soon need a buy an air purifier in order to keep the home as allergen free and sterile as possible.

We know that everyone who knows Jeff will care deeply about him and want to help. This is a really easy way to make a massive difference: even if, at this time of year, you can only spare a couple of £££ it all adds up. Please give what you can and share with your friends!
