Through the Work the World programme Jenna will be travelling to Tanzania in October 2018 to assist healthcare professionals with the delivery healthcare within the community.

Work the World enable students to undertake their elective placement overseas working in third world countiries with people less fortunate tham themselves. They sustain fair, ethical partnerships with overseas hospitals, clinics and surrounding communities as a basis for delivering the best healthcare placements in the world.

Tanzania is a third world country where many people live in poverty. This has the knock on effect of malnutrition, poor nutrition and a lack of healthcare facilities. Per 100,00.00 people there are only 37 nurses. 1.4 million people are living with HIV and 11% of people will die as a result of a repiratory condition.

Any additional money raised above the £4k target will be donated to Dorset County Hospitals Dementia Day Room.
