In a voluntary group from the University of Edinburgh I am participating in a project in Honduras with the charity Global Brigades. This charity aims to deliver important medical care and teaching about public health in communities which do not have sustainable health services. I will be assisting health professionals to provide the necessary care to individuals and hope to make a difference, even in the smallest ways, for example by teaching a child how to brush their teeth or helping to build a floor in a family's home, which could greatly improve the quality of living for these people.
