Our Theatre has closed but we are cushioning the blow.

Waterside Musical Society celebrates 50 years of existence this year (2018) so I thought it fitting to try and raise funds by attempting to walk 50km. WMS is a registered charity and our mission statement is "to cultivate the arts of opera and musical comedy, and to improve and educate the public taste in those arts" to the Waterside area.

Last year our local theatre closed leaving the group to find a new venue. We used the excellent facility of a local School, Noadwood Academy. The facility was very good but we had one or two comments about the chairs being too hard. So this year my aim is to raise enough money £200, to buy 50 padded seat covers to aid the comfort of our patrons. Another of our charitable aims is to "support other local charities and arts related organisations" and by improving the customers experience we can hope to increase the funds we raise for local charities at the raffle at our shows.
