Story
I have never had to ask for help, but I am devastated, my dog sat at end of road and after checking road I gave command to cross, a van pulled out as we crossed and hit my dog backend, he stopped on top of her, I screamed at him to reverse and lifted what I thought was my dead dog into my arms. She whimpered, I have never in my life been so happy to hear any animal whimper in pain, hysterical the van driver drove me to the vets, her hind leg is crushed and will require amputation, she is degloved on her front leg and we were recommended to pts, we have went private and she requires elbow arthrodesis, to fuse her front leg together to enable her to walk , i will use every means possible but I am asking if anyone can help me, her bill will be thousands, and I really hope and pray that someone can help even if it is a very small amount, kara is more than a dog to myself and my family, thank you for reading x

4 years agoKara is doing brilliant thank you so much to all who have donated, her front leg is almost healed and her back leg with fixator the swelling has reduced 30%, her paw has greatly reduced in size and swealing and all looks good, kara bill is growing as she has been admitted for dressing changes and requires sedation each time, any help would be gratefully appreciated ❤️❤️

4 years agoKara is now home, she's on bed rest and we bought her a crate, she's doing brilliant, walking in garden, eating and drinking, she is on a lot of painkillers just now but hopefully her leg will recover in time, thank you to all who donated, still have a bit to go, but we are extremely grateful for every donation that we have received ❤️ ❤️

4 years agoKara has had surgery to her hind leg and is in a external fixator, and confident that with complete rest the chances of recovery and being able to keep her hind leg increases, her front leg seems to be holding with elbow in place, and is being discharged today😁home for rest and cuddles, thank you all for your kind donations, from me and kara 🐾🐾
