At the end of July and the start of August 2017 I am going over to Uganda for 3 weeks with my Christian youth fellowship group. We work closely with the charity that we have set up over there; The Rock of Joy Trust. With this charity we have built 3 schools in which our group will be going over to help at. Whilst we are over there we are going to teach to the children, we are going to play with the children, we are going to put up mosquito nets etc. and make sure that the school buildings are up to date with painting and repairs and also equipment such as text books and also sports equipment etc. This project matters a lot to me and also the group because we have spent many years setting up these schools and helping them to be eventually self sufficient. Personally it matters a lot to me as all my life I have wanted to help the less fortunate and I believe that we can make the lives of these children better by carrying on going over there like we have been doing. The funds that this page is going to be raising is going towards the payment for me to actually get there, so for the plane tickets etc.
